Sharps Corner Woman Charged with Theft from Indian Tribal Organization

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Sharps Corner woman was indicted by a federal grand jury for forging checks from a tribal organization and then cashing them.

Doreen Two Bulls, age 55, was indicted on October 23, 2012, for Theft from Indian Tribal Organization. She appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Veronica L. Duffy on November 1, 2012, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 5 years' imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine. The charge is merely an accusation, and Two Bulls is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah B. Collins is prosecuting the case. Two Bulls was released on bond pending trial. A trial date has not yet been set.
